Business leadership, with a commercial focus.
I’m Jav Choudhary, a founder, group managing director and investor. My approach to leadership brings together customer acquisition, capable people and the systems needed to deliver consistently.
Start with the whole business
A business needs to win work, deliver it well and build relationships that last. I see those responsibilities as connected. Growth creates value when the business has the people and organisation to support the commitments it makes.
My work across Rockland Fire, CatchLocal and TrustedLocal brings those questions into different settings. Specialist consultancy depends on technical expertise and dependable delivery. Digital growth and lead generation depend on understanding demand and turning it into relevant commercial opportunities. In each case, the challenge is to connect the customer’s needs with what the business can deliver.
Bring expertise and direction together
At Rockland Fire, my role is to lead the business and its commercial direction. Specialist technical work sits with the people whose expertise underpins the consultancy. Bringing those responsibilities together matters: clients need access to the right knowledge, and the team needs a business that supports its work.
My focus is on building capable teams, making responsibilities clear and creating the conditions for consistent delivery. Across different businesses, that means understanding where my involvement adds value and where specialist colleagues should lead.
Connect customer acquisition with delivery
My background in digital growth informs how I look at a business. Visibility is a starting point. The more useful questions are whether the business attracts relevant enquiries, responds effectively and converts suitable opportunities into lasting customer relationships.
Through CatchLocal and TrustedLocal, that perspective connects websites, search visibility and lead generation with the wider commercial picture. It also shapes how I think about growth elsewhere: the ability to deliver should develop alongside the ability to win work.
Build for the longer term
I am interested in businesses that become stronger as they develop. That involves more than increasing activity. It means supporting people, improving how work is organised and keeping commercial decisions connected to the quality of delivery.
My aim is to combine hands-on leadership with a clear direction, giving each business room to develop its own expertise while maintaining a shared focus on customers and long-term value.
